Tonto Basin Fire District is Hiring

Rural fire departments rely on part-time. Our district is no exception. We cover 80 square miles from Highway 87 south to Roosevelt. The majority of the staff of Tonto Basin Fire District are part-time.

We are currently accepting applications for:

  • Full-Time Firefighter/EMT or Paramedic
  • Part-Time Firefighter/EMT or Paramedic
  • Part-Time EMT or Paramedic

Requirements for all applicants:

  • 18 years of age
  • Valid AZ Driver’s License
  • Required certifications to fulfill the desired position
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Background Check/Fingerprinting
  • Drug Test

The district will assist with training in CPR, First Aid, Emergency Driving, EMT refresher, and Fire Fighting skills after successfully becoming a member. If you have any questions, please contact Fire Chief James Stoltenberg at 928-479-2203 or email.
